Birds of prey.

Haven't seen any of those critters up here in our neck of the woods yet, turkey buzzards and eagles are our large soaring birds....

We have a lot of them here. Noticed them about 5 years ago. There is a poweline out on the far hole farm that has probably 100 of them roosting every evening. Nasty things.

There's alot of them around the university here at OU. They definitly travel in packs. And are pretty mean! I've been hearing of people talking about bald eagles moving into the county too. We've been seeing then regularly at work. uploadfromtaptalk1485999871595.jpg

The snowy owl that migrates down every year has made his annual appearance near my house. I took this picture of him a couple days ago.

I believe it's only the juvenile ones that migrate. Still cool to see them though!

I guess it was my turn to be wrong.

Count me amongst the mixed emotioned. They are beautiful animals, but I sure see a lot of hawks these days and hardly a rabbit to be found. They have their place and I respect them a great deal, but like anything I am curious how wildlife management considers and regulates their populations. I'm probably just salty because they are competition and way better hunters than I am.
