Got another 1-1 1/2 quarts tonight. All that heat hurt them for us this year. Still grateful for what I am getting.

They are starting to come on out here too.
We spent a few hours yesterday picking, then canned them up after dinner. I'm thinking next weekend will be the mother-load haul as most were just not quite ready.
My daughter Reese came across the fawn in the pics. Funny thing is, in all the years of my life and time spent outdoors, that is the first time I have even saw a bedded fawn.
My dad absolutely loves homemade raspberry jam so I will be bringing him several of these when I visit in July. Basically raspberry flavored sugar!

Good stuff man. Always a great when spending time with family. I hear you on the jam and jelly. Every time I make something I'm floored by the amount of sugar it calls for. You're right it's basically congealed fruit flavored sugar.

Snagged 2 quarts of raspberries and a few bonus blackberries. I may need to hire a van full of Amish to pick all the blackberries we'll have. IMG_20170621_131242_233.jpg20170621_144808.jpg

The kids had a soccer camp from 9-noon today, so the wife and I dropped them off, headed to the farm, and picked for about an hour and a half. Lots more ripe this week! We only covered a small part of what we hit last week. Finished up canning them about an hour ago. Another 25 cups.
We will be back at it again tomorrow with the kids. It will probably be our last berry outing of the year since we'll be on vacation the following weekend.

Good Haul for sure!

Scrounging from what we do have, but did manage to get another half gallon or so.20170624_173029.jpg

Braydon had about 3x this amount and you can tell where they all went.

Chad, you need to mow your yard for cripes sake.

We hit it one last time today. Didn't take any 'haul' pics, but got about as much as yesterday and just finished canning them up. Total of 69 cups from this and last weekend. We ran out of cup jars to had to put some in pints.

Also, do any of you guys have these yellow/apricot varieties over your way? There are a few bushes at the farm and they are really good.

Yes, we have a few yellow bushes. They are called golden raspberries and some call them yellow. Taste is not what a black one is (to me) but the sweetness is off the chart.

Awesome stuff guys!
I've been picking raspberries here as well. My favorite for jelly are the red ones, but the black ones are delicious TOO!
I made 19 1/2 pints of jelly this past weekend and some of the hottest pepper jelly that I've ever tasted! Lol
It's going on some meatballs for our TOO event this July:)

Good deal Ron! Glad to hear you got some.

I got 2 more quarts last night. Not setting the world on fire but they are starting to add up.
