Which side of this board do you guys think would look the best with the skull mounted on it? The one side is untouched while the other side has been planed, sanded, and stained. This is old wood out of my buddies barn.

I wish I had the tools to make it into the shape of the state of Ohio, it looks TOO boring as is. I'll have to see if I can borrow a jig saw. The wood is so old though, I don't know if it could handle all the sawing.

Both are nice but i would use the finished side on the left. You could trace the outline of the state on the lower part and then use a wood burner to burn it in along with the name and date of kill of the person that got it.

The thing is I don't know who killed it lol but I am gonna go with the finished side.

I think I'm going to take it out of the peroxide water tonight, its been 2 days and its white enough for me. Then I'll let it dry for a day or 2 before it gets mounted. I also have to super glue 2 teeth back in that got knocked out when he fell off the table Lol I about shit my pants when that happened!

Thanks Joel. I also have been using what I call a "booger sucker" too keep the paper towels on the top of the skull as wet as possible.

As far as the wood, the one on the left looks the best. IMO.
