It looks to me that he may have some health issues going on. I sure hope he doesn't but he is looking quite frail compared to last year.

He’s been bad mouthing the changes, I figured it was coming. He just doesn’t seem as happy as he once was. I always liked it when his voices would get all girlie when he got excited. I hope he gets to enjoy many years of relaxing now, he sure has earned it.

Ole Daryl has been voicing his displeasure with most of the changes for a few years now. Part of the reason I enjoyed his rants. I take more stock in drivers/crew chiefs then just the commentators....

The man has lived an incredible life. He will be missed at the tracks and on TV but I think it's the right move for both him and the sport. God Speed DW and enjoy those grandchildren!

Even as a Jr. fan, I hope he doesn't. I'm not a fan of his commentary. Slow southern talkers don't make the best TV/radio personalities.
