Kentucky Speedway 2019
The victory burnout!
Yep,,, the race turned out to be a real exciting one.
Thought they all were going to end up in the turn two wall on the last lap, but somehow Kurt pulled it off.
I can tell you things have really changed since the last time I attended a NASCAR event, which has been quite sometime, maybe 10 years?
It was Kentucky's Speedway 20 year track anniversary and I remember visiting the track the first year it opened headed to another race back then.
The sport must be hurting for money these days cause the entire experience wasn't like what it used to be.
I've attended NASCAR events since they were the Winston Cup right up thru Nextel, Sprint and now, Monster.
I'd say their booming years was towards the tail end of Nextel going into Sprint.
Still, we had a great time and most likely will attend it again next year.
The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the night was even better with the crystal clear skies with the beautiful almost full moon.
I'd say, there were probably more flashing lights & wrecks on the way home than what there was during the entire race.
It took an hour longer to get home because of all the accidents last night on the highway, SMH.
Anyhow,
I've attached some more photographs for anyone who might be interested one day going to the Kentucky Speedway.
