Just out of curiosity how many on the site have shot an Ohio deer that would qualify as a booner or bigger....Alot of nice deer have been harvested, but I don't recall many booners or bigger... So let's post them up...
Come to think about it…. I might have seen one in 43 years of deer hunting. I missed with the 12 gauge off hand around at 80 yards around 1987. The 14 pointer was killed a couple weeks later by car crossing the road at that farm. 0-1. I only heard about it.
I've maybe seen 2 since I started hunting Illinois in 2003... And I'm sure both of them were 200 inches + ...
One I passed on as he was right on the property fence row and another came up through the woods with a doe and they bedded about 60 yds. Out.... They stayed there all day then got up and went back where they came from... I only planned on hunting till around 9 am and dressed lightly and had no food to eat... Bastards...

I’d love to shoot a Booner but I have too many other outdoor pursuits to dedicate myself to finding and hunting exclusively for a deer of that caliber. The guys I know that do it consistently are way more dedicated than I am. I have a great respect for what they do, I just like hunting all the things.
You'll need to get on Facebook to find all the guys killing booners. Usually was NOT officially scored but their ex brother in law measured it and he is the smart one in the group. Typically they look more like 132-137" in their pictures.
