JMMyers and I got out on Friday and walked the shore at Ladue Reservoir. It looked pretty bleak at first but then when we got closer to more shallow areas, we started hearing what sounded like submarine warfare. Carp were floppin' everywhere! Unfortunately, most of the action was in some swampy areas that we couldn't get to on foot. But, we did manage to find a little area where the carp must have got in during higher water and they were trapped. I ended up batting about .009 with three fish to show for my efforts, Jimmy wasn't able to connect before we had to leave. Good times, though. Plans are in the works for a return trip with a boat. Anyone in Northeast Ohio interested in coming along, just lemme know. I have a spot or two scouted out.

The first I got with the compound, the next two I got with the recurve. Not bad for my second outing ever!
