Branding hunting items...when does it stop?

HS hunters on their show wear so many scent wafers all over their bodies they look like Christmas tree ornaments.

Guilty as charged... I used to be a big fan of the fresh earth scent wafers. lol Of course that was before my exposure to the Scent Smoker.

I for one don't wear anything that has someone's name on it. If they want me to wear a Mfg. name plastered on it then it must be free or awful cheap.
But on the other hand everyone here would feel differantly if they were the Bone Crusher and making $$$$$.

Agreed, maybe as a whole we should come up with bbb camo and calls, since the world thinks we have monsters behind every tree why wouldn't they buy it

having recently been fitted for contact lenses, I find myself wondering if I can find realtree camo lenses with the bonecollector logo in the middle of them.

The real money maker lately is the food plot products. No till, accorn rage, or what about swamp donkey! I don't think the products are false but i do think they are overpriced mixed seeds that the feed mills probably sweep off the floor. If you bought the seed without the deer on the package it would cost half the price.

I agree this is a huge new market for them. We put in over 25acres last year. Had we bought the bags at Walmart or TSC we would have spent EASILY 10x what we paid to cover this many acres. On the flip side, I have added a couple small plots this year on one of my properties. Tonight I stopped at TSC to pick up some dog food and looked at the bags. For under 1/2 acre, the $14-20 bags at TSC are quite handy. Not what I used as I already had some, but had I not already had the seed on the shelf, I would have gladly spent $14-20 to cover my seed costs. It would not have been worth the time and effort to order in my seed, pay shipping, or take the time to order and drive over to the seed store to pick it up. What I am seeing is a "cheap" alternative for those watching the hunting shows and believing they are going to shoot a 200" deer because they sprayed some roundup and pulled a drag around their 10acres while installing a 1/4ac plot.

Am I a hypocrit? Maybe. My property is just under 8acres. Did I put in 1/4-1/2ac worth of food plot? Yep. I did so simply as a test to see if it is worth the effort on such a small property. I also know the "area" holds some nice bucks. Doubt I hunt it much, but I will be periodically checking the trail cameras to see if my efforts are worth the time and money. If anything, I at least know I have cleared out some areas and rid them of some of the poison ivy. lol
