Bucket List Item - Chili Peppers Live

Here's the one thing I'll say about my music choices because I've taken flack from my ultra conservative friends before. I don't give two shits what a band or it's members stand for if they make kick ass music. Anthony Kiedis would hate me and all I stand for, but that's cool with me. I love music and if I only loved music from people who thought like me, I'd have crappy music to listen to...

Very well said...

Tool albums have gotten worse over time. Saw them at ozzfest. Came out as an evangelist, then stripped down to his underwear.. They were anal about no cameras for that show.. We snuck a couple in, and got pics...
Not to argue..But how do you mean gotten worse?I wouldnt say they have gotten better though..But there album are far better then alot of stuff being produced..And from a musician stand point there more talented then half the people who have ever made a record IMO..

Kiedis is a damn vegan and PETA supporter. It pains me, but when I'm chilled out listening to Under the Bridge or Soul to Squeeze, there is no pain!!!

I guess the sound of the albums have changed.. I could listen to undertow and aenima over and over. 10,000 days never listen to anymore.. Bands change.. listen to korn and skipknots first albums compared to the latest...

I did not know that about Kiedis. Oh well... It won't stop me from jamming out to the Chili Peppers that's for sure.

Korn did big time..I really like Opiate underrated IMO..Im very open minded musically.Everything from classical,1920s blue up to metal, country rap..I have been a musician for 18years and I feel keeping a very open mind has allowed me to be a more well rounded musician..

I'm the same way dude. I jam to Beethoven, then I'll throw on Tool or maybe Garth Brooks or Dr. Dre. I love all music for the most part...

Dang, you should've chose Pittsburgh. I didn't look at the date yet, but I would've gone to party. I'm not a big fan of them, but I like some of their stuff. I could probably create a top 10 pretty quickly with Dani California and Snow (Hey Oh) ranked in there somewhere.
Tool? I never got into them, but I have to admit... I never really gave them a chance so maybe it's my loss. I'll have to check them out. They came out in my college days and all the weirdos on campus liked them (kinda like REM in the 80's). So, I got a bad vibe from that. I guess it is time for chance number 2.

I have spent many , many a concert in the mosh pits.. Never been in fight there though. Almost got in one helping a buddy out who pissed some guys off in the pit...

Funny mosh pit story...

I used to be a pretty big/athletic guy. I was monkey in the middle/king of the mountain just smoking dudes and it was getting rough but not serious. This dude starts giving me the eye and takes off for me...I sent him flying. I turn and raise my hands in victory.

The circle of people started booing me after they had been supporting me. Confused I turned around...then I was really confused. I knocked the dudes leg OFF!

He only had one leg....the other was a prostetic. Felt pretty dumb and bought him a beer...good dude.
