My format is pretty close to this recipe. I use my great grandmother's old crock and process it for about a month.

I over did it.

While at camp I told the wife to buy 12 head of cabbage from the local produce stand. Mission accomplished.

I ended up with 78# which rendered my 8 gallon crock full.

In about one month I will be canning kraut.

I'm not big on sauerkraut unless if it's at octoberfest they would have brats with sauerkraut, green pepper, then I'd eat it
