Sitting here reflecting like old men do…
I even remember the first time I saw him shoot. It was a Coke and the “Bottle Opener Shot”

Gramp had an old Ben Pearson long bow ( which still hangs on my living room wall today) stuck in the corner of his wood shop. I strung it up with a length of heavy string, grabbed the 2 warped cedar arrows and spent the rest of the summer as any 9-10 year old would. Hunting all likes of man killing stumps, horrific man eating clumps of dirt and dangerous shadows terrifying women and children. He started my addiction from a simple trick shot probably seen on the Wide Wide world of Sports.

Haven't been to the Deer and Turkey Expo in a good while. When I've been there he was always setup doing shows and meeting people. Always so kind and more than happy to sit and talk with everyone. The fact he made the "trick" shots over and over and over. There was nothing lucky about it. Ridiculous skills.
