If you don't wear much over them, they do well. They wick moisture well. If you wear too much over them, you aren't gonna be able to get rid of the heat.

On the cold mornings, I only wear the top in, so I don't get overheated. Once I get set up and cooled off, I start piling layers on.

That's exactly my process too Greg. It is a little annoying having to pull my harness and everything off though!

I'd be interested in these though too, as the UA stuff is ok, but not great. I really want something for the wind....

Sat for 3 hours with the base layers and a chamois shirt and a pair of brush pants it was mid 40's at 6:30 and dropped 7-8 degrees by the time I finished up and stayed comfortable and headed over too an orchard with OhioSam and added a fleece over the chamois as the wind kicked up and with mid 30's temps I stayed comfortable both sitting and posting.....

I have that jacket. I think you will be pleased. Seems to stop the wind pretty well. For as thin as it is, it is respectable. Nothing on your neck, and a bit short if you lean forward allows wind into the top of your hips/waist area. I found it perfect for carrying into the stand in 30-50 degree weather. Walk in on a cool morning with a couple layers, add this jacket or a sweatshirt and this jacket. Nice combo. I never really tested it on bitter cold temps. I like something which comes up around the neck a little better in real cold stuff.

I'll save it for duck season. I plan to wear a hoodie under it and will generally have waders on under it or will have bibs on over it. It is cut short on the torso.

Yeah that was my question for you as well since you're a bigger guy.... Will it pull up too much and let the wind in too much???? Anyone have the pants/bibs???

Thought about buying that jacket. Glad I didn't if its cut short. Let me know how it goes...they had some merino stuff that interests me.
