They've gotten exceedingly worthless. If you're fed up with them chat with a rep and cancel and request a refund of Prime fees. Their whole prime model was built on two day delivery and "free" shipping. Truth be told the shipping is just built into the cost of the product as you can see a $2-3 price difference between prime and non-prime items. Most of items that I see marked as Prime now have a 4-6 day delivery window. The bullshit part is I can see that Amazon is holding orders for 4 days before shipping it out to arrive 2 days later. Since it still gets here in two days that tells me the logistics isn't the problem, they're doing this in hopes of aggregating orders at the warehouse. Orders over $25 ship free because it forces you to aggregate an order. In essence they're doing the same aggrigating under the covers with prime orders which they should ship out immediately for two day delivery.

The final straw was we ordered a cooktop back in April that arrived with a broken grate. Trying to do the right thing we called the Frigidiare number on the paper that said please don't return to store call us first. Frigidare ordered the part through a company called electrolux who is their part supplier. 30 days later I call because we haven't received it and was told it was on backorder but should be in stock in 30 days. Today is the third time they've they've said that and the new date is the end of November. I contacted Amazon who basically said tough shit it's beyond the return window.. So guess who just ordered the same cooktop that I'm almost positive is going to arrive damaged and need returned for a refund to Amazon.

I've noticed this on certain items while perusing, but MOST of my prime purchases have delivered on time (2 days or less), including Sunday's. I still think that some logistic issues are a contributing cause. Shit, have you seen the Fed-Ex hubs recently?

Don't get me started on Fed-Ex. Our Fedex hub is in Mobile and they've managed to completely lose three delivery packages this month. Amazon has always been good about returning or reshipping them, with yet another 6 day lead time. Our neighborhood facebook page is rife with people asking if someone recieved their package that was marked delivered but isn't there, only for it to show up 1-2 days later. The delivery drivers are marking them as "delivered to front door" most likely to cheat the tracking system for their daily delivery requirements. Fedex has to be aware of this when the driver returns the truck to the hub with undelivered packages on them.

For Prime taking 4-6 days I don't think shipping delays are the problem most of the time. I can see in my account when an item is shipped. The delivery date will be stated as 6 days on the ordering page, then I order it and they don't ship it for 4 days and it arrives in two.

Here is a really interesting thing. Last week I ordered a new voltmeter. Every single one of them when I sorted by prime had a 4-6 day delivery date. I just searched for voltmeters to grab a screenshot of the 4-6 day dates and almost all of them have an Oct 1 delivery date. (2 days) What's changed, I canceled Prime yesterday..

A while back I ordered a 8 foot solid fiberglass whip antenna for the boat. It shipped in an 8 foot cardboard tube. The fedex driver came walking up to the house with it broken completely in half and taped back together in the middle both ends just flopping as he walked. :ROFLMAO:. I just laughed and said "put it back on the truck chief"

Hmm, interesting. I wonder if it might be a localized issue? I have had zero issues getting items delivered within the 2 day window and we get at least a dozen or so deliveries each month. Of course, there are 6 fulfillment centers within 30 miles of my house lol

Our weekend drivers mark it as delivered, only too be delivered Monday. UPS are the ones we have issues with. Or when they pawn it off too the postal service. Then the postal service would put a slip in the mailbox (if they rememberEd) too come pick it up. They wont deliver down our driveway. Well at least or mail person won’t.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Even still though. Once shipped it only takes two days to get here.

For some reason FedEx delivered a 22 inch HD computer monitor to my house today. It has a ‘relabel’ sticker with my address on it?? It also has another ‘deliver to’ sticker on it for some senior center about 60 miles away. I assume that is where it was supposed to go. So I guess I am happy with FedEx’s service for at least today.
