Cell phones

Thought of this thread as I drop kicked the A51 into the driveway while getting out of the truck this morning lol.

3yrs and 1 week of nonstop abuse on both mine and the Mrs., and they are still going strong. At this point, we are over $1K ahead. We won't be going back to flagship ones unless they run a deal or they're free.

I upgraded when we changed carriers. Basically the same as my old phone, just the upgrade. Camera is absolutely amazing and worth all $300 it cost me.

I got a Samsung A52 which is a cheap version of the Samsung..whatever S# was going at the time. It's ok, but glitchy as hell sometimes! Never had problems with our S models in the past. Would I get a non flagship model again? I have no idea how much phones are these days, but the frustration of the glitching is something I would have to think hard about compared to taking out a loan for the new phone prices!

I don't really know why, but I have always been an iPhone guy since getting my first smartphone. My iPhone 6S was still working fine ( but the battery life was getting annoyingly bad) after 6 years of use. Santa brought iphone 13's for both Nancy and I for Christmas in 2021, which was quite an upgrade for both of us being 5G capable, much more powerful than our old phones, and with phenomenal battery life and superior camera quality. Best phone I have ever owned.

4.5yrs and the power button is starting to stick. Just got another $20 case/clip so it'll be used till she cant be used any more. I'll be hunting for a non-flagship $300-$400 model again, specifically looking for something small...not the computer sized ones they all seem to be these days. Like a midget hanging off the belt or weighing down the pocket.

The A51 made it just shy of 5yrs, power button completely stopped working this past weekend and it's time to add a 4th line with Myles coming of age next month. Free Samsung 24FE to me, an insurance replacement on the A51 in the mail and will be setup for Myles. I would do an "A" version again without thinking twice.

Good deal Adam. The Samsung A series devices are pretty good phones. We sell a ton of the A54 model.

iPhone 12 Pro Max is still going strong. Battery life is down to about 85%. Back glass is cracked so I got a case from one of our vendors. Back to like new. See how much longer she will go.
