I knew she had it in her!!! Congrats buddy....

Thanks man. I'm excited to see how much she improves next year when she slows down. Not sure how she overruns trails being tubby, but she does. Her excitement level gets to her. However, as the season progressed she started to figure it out.

I will still get her out when I can before the ticks get bad just to let her run, but my chances will be pretty minimal with baseball in full gear now.

Switchitter had a few of us over to his place on Saturday for a bunny stomp with bows and arrahs. dogs did ok for us, but seemed to struggle a bit. had 11 jumps, a few good chases. only managed a few shots, but one lucky hunter connected. beautiful day to be out with bow in hand, sun shining and biggle dogs serenading us all day.

I didn't exactly chase em today, but I did see a couple while out running snares. One stopped at 20 yards or so. He's in the skillet now. :)

Sweet! I've got a rabbit that sits in the same brush pile everyday too, surrounded by four snares! I can't shoot him, he's usually the only critter I see on most days. The one I shot today was just unlucky...but he was tasty.

Same here!!! There saying the temps are suppose to climb into the high teens so i'm going to wait until then before i head out. Might have to get out after the crows before there season ends just to get out and do something. Had a Awesome hunting season and it was fun being on here reading all the stories about all the awesome hunts. Never did talk the wife into a beagle though. My daughter was all for it though LOL!!! Good luck today and have a safe last day out!!!!

Nice one Bigslam!!! Today ended up better than i thought it would. Ended the season with two shots with two kills. Was only out for a half hour but said two was a great way to end it. The snow drifts set up like concrete and you walk right on top with out falling through. 0228141205-00.jpg

I hate to see it end but we finished with 2 great runs and no shots offered this evening after school. It was a great season considering we didn't start until after muzzy and Andrew killed his first and 2nd rabbits. He could of had 7-8 more but he did great for a 9 yr old. Very proud of Hunter and looking forward to his progress next season!
