Christmas Dinner?

Who's cooking? What are you making this year? How are you preparing the meal? How many people are you cooking for?

We will have a total of 24 here. My meat dish will be a New York Strip Roast, (family is chipping in this year LOL), still deciding what else.....

We had an early Xmas. Both kids and their spouses (and dogs) showed up this last weekend. Saturday was a 8lb standing rib roast. Sunday the traditional spiral ham dinner. Wife made twice baked sweat potatoes, I’m still on the fence about those

8lb spiral cut ham. Us 5 and my mom and step-father.

All my siblings moved out of state in '15 so the past few years it's been quiet with just my wife and boys. Time to start that family dinner tradition this year and well, ham just doesn't get the respect like I said in the spatchcock turkey thread lol!

It was a company gift from Omaha Steaks. Moved it to fridge today, only needs 50mins reheat come Thursday afternoon. Homemade mashed potatoes and sweetcorn will ride along on the plates.

Im smoking a spiral cut ham (Basically warming it to 140 degrees I.T.) with cherry wood, then glazing with a raspberry chipotle glaze. Taking it to my In-laws.

3 of us, we went and picked up a honey baked ham yesterday. They're expensive but soooooo good. Who knows what else we will have. Probably green bean casserole. I'll probably have her make some stuffing too cause I love it.

For the first time in awhile, we aren't hosting. The FIL is making dinner and hasn't released what that entails. I can only guarantee he will have PBR.

I always do a prime rib with crab legs and sometimes lobster tails. We’re seafood lovers. I cook for us, wife, two babies and myself. Desserts are handled by my misses. Usually some sort of berry cobbler or apple pies. All homemade of course!

Rib roast for 4 of us and a ham for two that wont eat meat unless its well done. Fugg that. Roasted new potatoes and roasted green beans. Rumaki, deviled eggs, mac n cheese. Not sure what they're doing for dessert

Christmas Eve we always have people over and do homemade pizzas. Wife make pizza dough earlier in the day and everyone makes their own personal pizza. Everyone is involved and gets exactly what they want.

Christmas will be the standard ham with Mac and cheese along with all day appetizers.

Normally we have a goose, leg of lamb or a prime rib. It depends on what the farmer I help fills our freezer with. This year my wife is coming to visit me while I am tdy in germany.

I'm going to make braised venison shanks and seared medallions with wild shrooms. Just the wife and kids attending.

Rented a newer log home in Nelsonville/ Logan for the week, all the kids coming in. Will be having spiral ham, scalloped potatoes, deviled eggs, etc. Son is bringing his smoker and doing 6 slabs of ribs. Lots of types of libations too!
