What is on your list? The wifes? Kids?

We asked parents and others to get us Wal-Mart and Home Depot gift cards. I'm gonna buy the wife Kendra's book and give her a chunk of cash to spend as she wishes. I'm also buying her a dog, but it won't be before Christmas. And depending on where we are in our contract, she might end up with an iPhone 4. My gift from her will be a trip to Cabelas. Tried to keep it simple this year...

I just said I want money, so I can buy me some good matching camo. I would likea new pair of boots this yr. Justin boots has these sweet cowboy boots I want....

I never realized how expensive they where. Alot of other places I looked wanted almost 300.00 for them. Thats rediculous.

I will probably not get them. TOO much money for me.

Cash in hand would be much better.

i got my christmas early this year , so im spending all my time on the wife and kids our kids are spoiled on toys so we cut back to two toys of any kind and the rest educational stuff , like read along books coloring books and work books to help with the spelling , you know what i mean...lol

Number one on my list is money towards tires...

After that there is all kinds of wish list stuff. Timberfleece 360 jacket and pants, muzzleloader, another trail cam, roscoby riser cam, rage 2 blade, tracer knocks, new quiver...

Wayne, I like those boots. I too would like a pair of cowboy boots.

The wife and I don't get each other things for Christmas. We periodically buy for each other through out the year and never do with out. So we always focus on Michael and Mason and the rest of the family. I did slip in a little Gerber Multi tool for my wife to carry in her purse so she'll stop asking me for my pocket knife all the time. I couldn't hold out so I gave it to her the other night...she loved it :)

For the second year in a row I had a hard time putting together a Christmas list. There aint nothing wrong with getting and giving stuff, but I'd really like to just be home for the holidays and get to deer hunt. This year has been a bit tough for my family with my dad losing his job in July - thankfully Mom held our insurance and in reality Dad being unemployed has been a great thing for now, it will just be a little scary with him getting back into this economy, them possibly selling the house and moving (probably out of Ohio, but I'd keep my residency there for law school :) ).

Anyways...I asked for a pair of Under Armour gloves, a duffle bag, a John Deere 365 calender, socks, and glass for my muzzleloader. I already got my birthday present, a nice wool coat that I picked out. And of course for Christmas, cash and Cabela's giftcards are just fine!

Maybe it's getting older...maybe its this year...I don't know. Hard to get into the Christmas spirit when you won't be home until the 23rd (I thought this was a Christian school, wth???).

I was a Christmas lover growing up, not so much today. The true spirit of the holiday is gone. Now I'm not overly religious, but I'm a spiritual man and I find it disturbing how corporate America has ruined Christmas. I would be fine if we never decorated or stressed over money for and/or buying gifts. Then returning shit. I try to maintain a "No Gift Policy" with my friends. I don't want them worrying about what to buy, or spending money on us. If we exchange gifts, then I worry if they liked it. Let's just hang out, eat a good meal, have a few cold ones, and enjoy each others company. The company of great friends and family is the best Christmas present a man can get...

Exactly. It sounds corny, but the gift of TIME is a huge one in today's culture. And I mean turn off your damn cell phones and have conversation time.

Eh, Christmas for me isnt as impotant anymore, its all about the kids and watching them open stuff. Same as birthdays.

Same here... The wife and I don't get each other anything, although we did take advantage of a Black Friday sale at Best Buy and upgraded our computer.

For the kids:
Kody (10) wants a buck 3D target and deer related clothes from the Legendary Whitetails catalog.
Klay (9) wants new Guitar Hero drums for the Wii (his broke) and a remote control truck.
Katie (3) wants anything princess related.

Both boys want an XBox so that will be a combined gift if Santa brings it.

I want three things.

A Plotmaster to tow behind my quad for food plots.

A New K&K vengeance bow.

A new spine so I can not be in constant back pain.

I made a wishlist at Cabelas, but it is pretty humble. There were a couple pant/jackets added off the clearance section, but I don't expect them. My wife said she wanted to get me something "big" since she is making pay as an RN now. I told her not to. I don't need crap. Generally if I want something, i go buy it. She did get her kitchen table/chairs, and doesn't know she is getting a Kindle also. I really spent a lot more than we ever have in the past this year. Kids are getting some $125-150 range electronic things and then clothes and educational stuff. I really don't want anything. I just want to enjoy the days with the family instead of inside a plow truck. Snow all it wants before or after our get togethers, but leave the Christmas festivities alone.

To get in the Christmas spirit this year we've concentrated on family time and it's been great. Every night we've been doing Advent devotions, we've visited the zoo to see Santa and the lights, we trimmed the tree with homemade paper snow flakes, and strung popcorn. As a Christian I know the truth and the true meaning of Christmas.

My wife and I decided to purchase a new camera on black Friday for our Christmas present- a canon rebel T2i - and we've had fun photographing all our Advent activities. The only thing I want now are accessories for the camera. :D
