First pic is the first two clams of the day. We anchored the boat in about 3 feet of water and walked up to the sand bar. I got my limit (150 clams) and my buddy got his limit in about 80 minutes...almost two clams per minute average. When we left, high tide was coming in and the sandbar was already covered by a few inches of water. Picked up some corn at a farm stand on the way home. Plan on going crabbing Friday, then having a couple friends over on Saturday for clams, crabs, corn and a few beers.

Living all these years in Jersey and I've never been clamming.. Crabbing yes... I'll be down about 3...

I filled the cooler with cold water and let it soak about a half hour. That gives them time to filter out any sand that may be inside. Drained it then put them into three metal pots, then into the fridge. Plan on cooking them Saturday...come on down!

I always soak them for awhile too, I added some corn meal, was told they sucked it in and spit out the sand, seamed to work
