When I retired my media routine totally changed. Started with The Bob and Tom show in morning, Steven Crowder, Ben Shapiro, Joe Rogan and Andrew Klaven throughout the day when I was working. Since retirement I haven’t listened to any of them so I musta missed it being out of the loop. 😂
It's official! You are an Old Fart now. Lol

The dude hosting is kind of a wind bag from what I’ve listened to so far. Wish he’d talk less and listen more.
After listening to Clinton county pod casts and DB buck on Bear Grease, some similarities in mistakes after the buck was shot if Clinton County buck was taken from somewhere else (innocent till proven guilty). But Donnie’s was not premeditated.

I don't have time to listen to podcasts. Nor the desire. What is the Cliff's Notes version?

All you need is a smart phone a blue tooth cigarette adapter and a truck radio. Anytime your plowing snow something worth listening too. As for cliff notes version poacher from Bear Grease had no premeditated thought of shooting the 200 inch buck, he was a bow shop pro, was shooting with some military that day(bow shop on base) , seen the buck later that day on base out of zone hunting zone and shot it (in season during legal hours). He then freaks out says he shot it behind his house a county away and gets caught. Very remorseful and regretted doing it immediately lost his job over it.
Clinton County- if done illegally completely premeditated and deer was moved to sister property where he had permission. People claim to have pics of the deer 10 to 15 miles away. If taken illegally the podcast story he did was bananas and he’s a gifted liar. Remember everyone is innocent until proven guilty (my disclaimer)

I don't get how this guy that didn't even own a weapon or tree stand was able to roll in there on a private farm and make killing this deer look so easy. How does a person get that lucky? I'm thinking has to be a light and gun involved but IDK.

I don't think you realize how little time I have to listen to podcasts. Lol. I'm juggling 10-15 pieces of equipment and operators when it's snowing. I don't just get to ride around in a plow truck doing "my route."

I do appreciate the Cliff's Notes. Thank you. Clinton County one is highly suspect (in my opinion.) Never heard of the other.

If I had to guess it was from a road out of a truck if it was poached. But that’s just a guess. I agree it seems hard to do if he was actually sneaking into a tree and getting a shot

That's how the show is produced. It's not just an interview, it's essentially a research podcast that focuses on historical events. I'd agree if it were a straight interview, but it's just the style of the podcast.

I listened to both podcasts and found them interesting. For me, it epitomizes the craze that big bucks ignites in some humans. I'd like to say I wouldn't have done the same thing, but you never know until you're there. Mr. Baker seemed like an unlikely suspect and he still perpetrated the deed. I enjoyed the discussion regarding intent and agree that intent matters. I'm not someone that whitewashes things and says all law breaking is identical. Getting caught up in the moment is different in my mind than planning and executing the act. It's why we differentiate between homicides.

You realize most people use this as background noise, right? We are not glued to a speaker not doing anything. Just plays and you pick up the pieces you want.
No. I'm old. I'm grey. I'm grumpy. Now get off my lawn. 🤣

I just can't do it. I've tried a couple times. Talk radio doesn't work for me either and this is basically talk radio where you can look at the guys if you want. I'm not wired right. Everyone knows this.

I give myself formal assessment after I listen, if I score under 90% proficiency, I drop everything I’m doing and relisten
I am not a big fan of these unless it interest me. If it grabs my attention, I am in. Kinda like watching nascar anymore. It's on while I get other shit done that needs doing. But every once in a while a race grabs all my attention. Or at least parts of it does.
