Will miss seeing Switch I hope you make Compton! Brock you and Mason should definitely check it out. It's a very challenging course for a trad shooter and it's on a beautiful piece of property. If you haven't already Google it and the Compton bowhunters site. There are some nice YouTube videos on both
Brock it is definitely worth going you and Mason should have a blast.
If you hang around Tiny’s camp you will get some good food!!
Sorry I’m not going to be there
I've not been to the Cloverdale Eastern Traditional event, since 1990. I met Jerry Hill, Howard's nephew, the last time I was there.
The guy that I went there with was Gary Frey and he ended up taking first place with an Assenheimer Custom recurve. He wanted to try a longbow, from 3 Rivers Archery. He shot the course with it and got 2nd place. Gary was just one of those guys with the gift for shooting nearly anything he put his hands on, in archery.
I've been going to Compton for the last 4 years and enjoyed it, every time. I nearly brought a one-piece Black Widow home, last year.
Cloverdale was huge back in 1990! It's no where near that now which I believe I enjoy more. It took forever to shoot the course back in those days there were so many shooters. I do miss all the vendors from back in those days.
ETAR has all the venders and 5 3D courses
I will be there again this year
They also have a practice course
I managed to shoot all 5 courses last year and because it is so spread out there was never a back up
I enjoy the vendors! Compton has a good amount of them also. This is going to be the last year at the Barrion springs sportsman's club. Rumor has it may be in SE Indiana next year. I'm hopeful that's the case
We have practiced the last two Sundays at Spring Valley getting ready for Cloverdale and Compton. Plan on being at the OSTA shoot Saturday in Jamestown.
