We are planning to go. Drives me nuts to whoop Mason most everyday in the yard but without fail recently at shoots, he whoops me. Every dang time.
I’ve never been to cloverdale so I am really looking forward to going. We ran into a guy I shot the IBO with 20+ years ago today. Haven’t seen him in years. I did really well in that format back in the day. Tom obviously knew that and said if I still wanted to be in that game I’d really enjoy the new stuff they have put together for traditional shooters. I don’t think I’m able to bring home belt buckles anymore, but I have no doubt Mason can do it these days. That boy can shoot any bow with most anyone in the world. And that isn’t just a boastful dad talking.

What does it cost to enter/shoot at the Cloverdale Traditional Nationals?
I just noticed the dates for this event and it's this weekend. I might try to go.

I know it's $20 at the Compton Traditional Rendezvous.

I bif I remember correctly it's $25 for the 50 target shoot. It's broken up into three sections. 20, 20 and 10. The Practice range is free if you have entered the shoot. It's pretty nice also 20 targets. Something new this year is a 30 target shoot on Thursday they are calling a Real world shoot.

Shot the 20 target practice course today. Tomorrow the 30 target Real World shoot. Scored 10 and 8 for a kill, -5 for a body hit zero for a miss.

We shot the 30 target Real World Shoot today. Was a lot of fun especially scoring a minus 5 for any shot outside of the kill circle. All shoots should score this way!

Mason and I weren’t here 15 minutes before I found this gem and decided I had to have it. Haven’t strung it up yet but hope to soon. We’ve shot three courses already for a total of 60. I am whooped but man is this event a good time!

I have been to more than a few archery shoots but this one was one of the more enjoyable, without a doubt. We spent our time with tip-quality people, shot 120+ 3d targets and enjoyed every minute of the event. Even got to meet up with Wiley a few times but never did get to shoot a round with him, unfortunately. I am already looking forward to attending next year.
