Cold weather gear

I have a pair of Muck Arctic Extreme. They aren't enough. Even with toe warmers, I can't feel my feet after 3 hours. Looks like I need MM boots.

I would pack em in and put them on when you get too where you'll be on stand....

That's exactly what I used to do with my Mickey Mouse/Bunny boots. I couldn't even ride a sled with them on, my feet would be dripping wet. The black style wasn't so bad, but still hard to walk in them without squishing.

Icebreaker has some sales going. I wore their merino base layers exclusively this year. Damn good stuff. Beats UA any day of the week.

Micky mouse boots are the shit. I was pulling guard once on a stupid mountain in Korea when it was -30 out. Between the Micky mouse boots and teddy bear suit I was quite comfortable. Not very mobile but you really don't have to be when you're just standing in a hole. Lol.

I will second the "bear suit"...I just couldn't get the bibs in the right size from ebay.

I couldn't help but laugh every time I had all that shit on. We would run drills where we had to fall back to the secondary perimeter. Looked like a damn gingerbread man trying to run in snow.

On one exercise the opfor was the ROK marines. They made it through the perimeter and we were condensing to our secondary perimeter I came around the corner of the radio tower that we were guarding and there stood one of the big sons of bitches. I went for him and he spun around and kicked me square in the chest. You could see where I slid four feet on my back in the snow. But between that big teddy bear suit ,my flack vest, and my field jacket with liner it didn't even hurt. I was dead however because I couldn't get off my damn back. I was rolling around laughing like some fat chick stuck in the snow.

There was this one other time where a buddy was out checking the perimeter on top of this mountain. He took a wrong step and ended up tumbling off of this sucker. No real drop off just steep as hell. He looked like a starfish with white boots on doing cartwheels.
