At halftime in the Michigan vs OSU game Michigan lead 14 to 10. Looks like Purdue the basketball school with 13 and has also held Michigan to 14 has had a better first half

Using your coaches logic, we shouldn't look at those games for face value. We had injuries and those need to be considered.

To be fair. I don't think OSU or Bama or any other team that didn't even win their division, much less their conference, or even play in a conference title game should be in any type of national playoff picture.

Agreed

We for damn sure shouldn't even be talked about. Zero chance I'm interested in getting beat TWICE by Michigan this year. So Jesse better stop that bullshit talk.

Well. What's it mean for OSU when an 8-4 team puts up an identical performance against Michigan that the undefeated 11-0 OSU did the previous weekend? If I was the CFP, I know what it would tell me. That 11-0 team is overrated and if we put them in the playoffs they're just going to flop, again. Seen it many times before, and based on Purdue's performance the writing on the wall says this time will be no different.

The other option isn't great either. Put in a 10-2 team, who granted, only lost by 1 and 3 points in the final minutes against #7 and #11 ranked teams, but did have a dominant show in their final rivalry game. But how do you with a straight face let in a 10-2 non-conf champion in over an obviously inflated 11-1 non-conf championship team?

I say the hell with both of them and leave USC and TCU in. 😅.

But you know, logic doesn't rule at the CFP, it's all about fan numbers, ratings, and what they think people want to see. If this were the BCS we'd let Georgia and Michigan duke it out, which is a valid game of two proven teams and either one deserves the title. It's a CFP shit sandwich and they gotta take a bite.

Can't use comparative scoring as an argument. Different gameplans allow for different scores. I think anyone who knows me knows I hate OSU more than anything. Wouldn't give them a hand if they were drowning. But I believe they are 1 of the 4 best teams after this weekend. IMO, It'll be UGA vs OSU and then UM vs TCU
Joe knows it too. That is why he started trash talking at half time. I personally would like to see the rematch of OSU and Bama this year. Both teams suck and aren't good enough to take it all.
