I'll take it. Told my wife sometimes you need your defense to score some points to win a game. Glad they did. Just seemed kind of flat. Sloppy. Not hungry. I don't think that is being unreasonable. I realize Buckeye fans are some of the most critical of their team. These aren't critiques. Just my observations and opinions.
It was flat and sloppy because Smith challenged everyone saying he couldn't be stopped. Day isn't good at changing his plan. They very effectively took Smith out of the game. That was Days plan.

Also this will play into Kelley's narrative and he Will say he was saving smith for Notre dame , however during the post game I really wish they wouldve gave Tate some love. Either way we're on our way baby!
It's been said several times that JS wasn't a factor but IMO he was cuz he took two players to cover which freed up others.
