Huh. Color me shocked. Alabama found some grit on both sides of the ball, pinned their ears back and made it happen.
Oklahoma came out swinging. I guess Bama was playing rope a dope and it worked. There is no excuse. Oklahoma should have never lost. Hats off to Bama for fighting. Those first few 3 and out Bama drives while OU was looking tough on offense? I never would have guessed it would have ended with a Bama win.

I listened to it so I didn't see how offense / defense performed on either side of the ball. Looking at the team stats OU defense was still pretty stout. Bama went 2/12 on 3rd downs, held to 28 rushing yards, 30% less total yards than OU. On paper, Bama should have lost, but they made the plays that mattered when they mattered in the 2nd half. One thing that has plagued Bama for years is not making key plays. I can't count the times I've seen them play struggle ball, 12 plays for 60 yards, just to fall apart in the red zone and walk off with zero points on the drive. Bama defense really stepped up allowing the offense to put up 27 unanswered.

Toney is NFL caliber and has the speed to return punts and kick offs at the next level too. LT #70, Bell is HUGE for UM and will probably be playing on Sunday, Monday or Thursday. Lol
T&M QB has weapons but needs more work on touch, timing and pocket awareness but has great running ability. After watching most of the game to this point I’d say UM is better team mainly because of the QB experience and throwing abilities.
