The NCAA already came out and said they can find no evidence whatsoever that Harbaugh had any inkling of what Stallion was doing. Put your hatred of JH aside for a moment. Do you think he would say "You know what we should do? Let's send Stallion to the CMU sideline on a nationally televised game to spy on MSU. Or better yet, let's have him pay for family members to go to opponents games to spy using his own credit cards buying tickets from on line vendors. No way anybody catches on". Think logically. But he should be held accountable for Stallion doing that AFTER the NCAA completes its investigation. The NCAA was approached by OSU with this originally but didn't wanna touch it because they know it's a well kept secret that its widespread issue. They even came out last year trying to abolish the rule because it provides little to no competitive advantage. All anyone wanted was due process, but the Big 10 decided to dole out punishment even though they aren't actually investigating anything. The BIG10 leaking everything to Pete Thamel before notifying UM is BS. Waiting til they were on the plane to suspend was BS.
I have no hatred of JH just the competitive dislike of our biggest rival from TTUN. That’s it🤟🏻😎
If it provides no advantage then why do they suspect it’s a widespread issue and then why are there 4-5 football staff members taped pointing in the air to the defensive squad that it’s a pass play?
Would you rather them not punish them in live time or wait till they play out the season then hand down punishment? Possibly stripping the team/school entire season including CC and playoffs and Natty?
Hey, I feel for you as a huge fan cuz you guy’s probably do have the best overall seasoned veteran team in the country. Sad fact if they didn’t need the extra advantage but if you’re gonna do it and get caught then there needs to be consequences.

Not sure how he didn’t know with Stalions standing right next to the OC and DC relaying what was coming. If he didn’t know he is clueless.
You do realize everyone has a sign stealing guy or several right next to coaches on the sideline, right? That has never actually been the issue, that part is legal. Stallions was sending family members and friends to opponents games to film in person then using that to figure shit out. Dude went to the naval academy to do espionage and codebreaking. He then wrote a 550 page manifesto on how he was gonna one day take over Michigan football

Stop being a mouth breather Ric. You are making way too much sense here that even the average football fan can see.
I wouldn't call Ric that. He asked questions and I thought I answered them respectfully.
I belive Harbaugh thought the Naval code breaker with an unquestionable affinity for michigan football that he hired was amazing at his job. I just think the NCAA should've been allowed to finish their investigation before the Big10 jumped the gun because old commish Him Delaney wants to hammer Harbaugh

So if everyone has that guy....then how the F did hardball not know who that guy is? Dude stop talking out of both sides of your mouth.
What the heck are you talking about? Everybody has sign guys on sidelines, multiple ones. Those guys are allowed to try and break down the signs in real time. It's a big part of the game. Michigan's guy was using friends and family to record other teams signs ahead of time so he already had a head start. It's not hard to decipher what I'm saying is it?

From what I read the NCAAs investigation isn't over. The big 10 co.mish wanted to make a move before the end of the season
Yea, which is unprecedented. Let's not actually investigate anything ourselves, let's just go off what media is reporting and punish people before we actually know what the whole story is. Dude is in over his head

Big 10 says they have evidence. It hasn't been released but Im sure it will be on friday
Yea. Gonna eventually get ugly if it stays in courts. This comes from a litigation lawyer

1. Litigation like this can get ugly. Lots of mudslinging and lots of defensiveness. You need to be patient and have a strong stomach. If you don’t come back in a few years.

2. If I were the law firm first thing Monday morning I would be sending a preservation letter to all of the schools atheletic departments, all of the b10 offices, and all of then Presidents. If they get rid of anything it will be a massive problem for them.

3. All of Tony Petiti’s communications and his staff will be discoverable on this topic, ALL. That includes discussions with Delaney. It may be an embarrassing time for him.

4. Same goes for the university presidents, AD’s, and coaches of opposing schools. All of their communications on this issue will be discoverable. And not just communications as it relates to this issue with Michigan but if they have been having conversations with other schools or sign stealers all of it is discoverable.

5. All of the schools athletic departments scouting info relating to sign stealing will be discoverable, ALL of it.

6. It is possible player safety records will be discoverable since the B10 opened that door.

7. I assume many of you will say the same thing Michigan will have to do. Remember above if Michigan has lived a clean life then none of this is an issue for them. And they have already turned a lot over.

My wife always says this phrase (she’s a civil litigator) when in these situations:

“Know who has what leverage.” Tony Peitit failed to follow that principle. He doesn’t have much leverage. He exposed himself, the conference, and all of its constituants to a lot of damage. He’s in over his head and you don’t have to go to Harvard to know that.

It's all a bunch of bullshit. Every team in college football steals signals before, during, and after games. It's an action as old as competitive sports itself. There is a reason teams across the country have elaborate poster board symbols even in the SEC. It's a witchunt bunch of BS. If you don't want your signs stolen then get better at changing them, not cry like a pussy when someone steals them.

Damn near every conference called the Big10 office asking them to chill out on this because the shit storm it's gonna play in the media if this hits the courts.

The one thing that's gonna come from this is helmet mics. Already approved for bowl games

It's a Pandora's box for sure. And like you posted above, if it goes to court, which its looks like it will, then everything from everyone will be subject to discovery. The Big 10 better hope they handled every single prior incident the same and didn't say anything incriminating.

I saw a commercial yesterday with a heads up display in the helmet.

I have a hard time believing that the Big Ten conference did not think this through pretty carefully considering what is at stake. I'm pretty sure there are numerous attorneys advising the commissioner of the Big Ten. It would take quite a lot of evidence to prove to me that the head coach of a major college football program getting paid millions of dollars to win football games does not know about something like this that is going on right under his nose and benefitting him directly. Harbaugh didn't know just like Joe Pa didn't know he had a sexual predator and pedophile on his staff for all those years. They call that plausible deniability. He either knew about it or he is an overpaid moron that is not very good at managing his staff. I just don't think Jim Harbaugh is possibly that incompetent. It will certainly be interesting to see what comes of all of this.

You’ve looked into this a lot more than the average fan that’s for sure. I knew lip reading being addressed by coaches covering they’re mouth when talking was a preventative method and 4 staffers holding posters was to help fight confuse sign stealers but didn’t know that it was this big of deal or problem.
Off the subject though I do love seeing the parity in college football now and it does make for more enjoyable games to watch.

I can agree on the plausible deniability, hence no proof found by ncaa. And Petitti is also a lawyer by trade
