I'm looking for an info on duck hunting in the Columbus area. Just curious on the duck activity in the area and what places are open to hunters. All info and advice always helpful. Thanks!

Truthfully the duck hunting in Central OH is crappy. Some decent pockets if you can get on them but season usually goes out in our zone before the ducks really start showing up.

Most of the major water ways and lakes are public, so if birds arrive it only takes about 2-3 days of skybusting and hail calling every bird before they find a refuge or move further south. Waterfowl hunting in central Ohio is a pain in the ass honestly, on a side note drive around in the evenings, do your homework and line a few private spots up to bounce between and you could do okay.

Oh there is a reason, lol. I love hunting the mighty Ohio. We found a couple new spots closer to home that produced divers this year, which was cool. Early duck depression has already set in.
