Like most of you all, I am cooking venison often and always looking for new ways to cook it, try it, etc. One goal for me is to not have to ADD FAT to every venison dish. I actually enjoy the leanness of the venison. I do add pork if making sausage or something of that nature.
Anyhow, a year or two ago my buddy brought some Con Yeager steak burger seasoning and ground venison to a get together, and we made "smash" type burgers. They were absolutely excellent and tasted just like a beef burger.
So this year, I wanted to try it again and it did not disappoint.
Recipe
1. 3lbs venison
2. 1 pack of CY steak burger spice packet
3. Onion
4. bread crumbs
5. 2 eggs
Mix, make patties, cook in a cast iron skillet.
