Controlled Hunt

You do you, just offering up a place that'll keep everything legit. Even have a camper in the driveway you could crash in of we have too many beerz
Damn fine offer and hope I get to take you up on it, thank you brother! Nov is wild for me with my planned trip to Deer camp in New York and a draw military hunt in Indiana. I am trying to keep everything fluid and hope to get a deer or two on the ground to simplify travel & logistics lol.

@TripleA88. Right in your wheelhouse.

@Tysonhunter I lived a few miles from there for over a decade. Everything there is thick with honeysuckle but there are some good bucks. Are you able to hunt the area with the yellow circle below. A guy that used to live arpund there and his buddy would hunt that red dot on private and hammer big deer. They've both since passed and I'm not sure it's been hunted. The deer love to funnel out of the park in that corner along the creek and pour into that back corner of the field.

Thank you for the post! The controlled hunt has assigned areas you must hunt in, I am actually the area to the west of that corner not directly across from it so I wouldn't be far out of the game. I did go and walk my area and you are right, FLAT & overcome with honeysuckle but there are small openings here and there and bumped a ton of deer just walking my loop. (loop you see in west of yellow circle in park is my area) I could see lots of trails leading from park to south fields and many deer comforably grazing the roadside. I will for sure give it a go, I'd think it would be for sure easy to fill freezer and maybe a big buck even slips up.

Got ya. I used to shed hunt that area a lot. Only found small racks but I was never the first one in their either. I would walk it so early that snow would still be on the ground and i'd still find boot prints.

Along the yellow line there should be a low spot. Not much, but lower, and deer seemed to want to travel it. You'll notice that it will be a little clearer there and thicker towards the road. The vegetation along the road is thick for about 15 feet but opens up a tad behind it in the "woods" . Almost like a hedge. When I would drive the park at night I would see deer cross in the blue areas. Walk that yellow line and see if you can find where they're crossing to get to the fields.

Behind the park office they used to have a feeder about where the red dot is. No clue if it's still there or operational but walk over and take a look. If it is backtrack to your zone along the easiest path.

I'll be honest you're in a hard zone to hunt, but there are good bucks all over the park. Your likely in the furtherest zone west so that's good, people may push deer to your zone as it's a pretty safe place for them.

I rotated the below map. Up is East.
