My 2018 preseason is off to a slow start. I’ve been way behind being gone all the time for baseball with the boys and taking on a new position for our school district. I made the move from middle school counselor to the high school counselor and things are gonna be pretty hectic at the start.

Anyhow... I only have one camera out at this point and it’s over a mineral spot that is covering and old rotted stump. The deer are hammering it and I got a couple pics of a nice buck on yesterday’s pull. He was a little Leary if the camera as he only offered up the two pics below. I attached the originals and blown up versions.

I plan on getting a couple more cameras out this weekend.

Ben and Giles,
I’ve been seeing the same doe and babies on the camera. There’s a couple small 8’s that have shown up as well. Last winter I had a good amount of doe on my cameras so I’d say we should be ok.
I’ve made a few road scouting trips at the club and I’ve seen a decent amount of deer out feeding. I’d say so far so good on the rebound.
