In case any one didn't see my latest thread update. That'll make 2 since challenge started. 5 total for the year. IMG_1130.jpgIMG_1132.jpg

We had planned to go to camp this weekend for turkey scouting, coyote hunting, and some fishing. We scrapped the fishing idea with the cold weather though. We did some coyote calling on Friday evening and also on Saturday morning with no action. Never even got one to answer. In the middle of the day we got a little work done around camp and then went back out this evening. On our last setup of the evening we had this coyote come in from behind us. Colton made a nice shot with the 12 gauge. Turned out to be a nice sized male. This was his first coyote.

I only have 5 snares open right now and fighting a cold and fever today so went over to close them for a week or so until they hit a carcass thats out.
Ended up with a female today.
Lisa rode along and said.. that is one ugly fuggin yote. Lol
Very few yotes running this farm now, checked my numbers and that is actually #38 off of this farm the last several years.
Used to be you would catch several in a weeks time so it is good to see their aren't many around this yr.

This one was a chewer, only 3 strands left on this snare.
This is exactly why i prefer a heavier snare.0317171055c-1.jpg0317171121c-1.jpg
