Awesome Job! Still waiting on my first double. Not a good morning on the line, had a big catch circle and my first chew out. Very disappointing.
I had one break the snare in a soybean field once (had it set in a dried up run off). Just as I got off the 4 wheeler....it got pretty exciting for a minute. Well, until I ran out of field trying to run him over!
Good luck,sucks on the chewout but if ya do it long enough and they have time you will come acros some that will chew the hell out of them.
They are Snare Shop Roundup Specials. 7x7 cable. Just one of those things. My guess is the coyote got caught early last evening, giving him time to chew out. Definitely pissed me off.
Yep if they have the time and nothing to get wrapped up around their are some that will chew the hell outta that cable,hopefully you will catch him again.
Caught another tonight. A 27# Female. The fur is pretty nice on her so thats a bonus.

Also lost one today. Soon as I seen the snare support still on the wire, I knew the end popped off.
I bought some snares off a builder in Newark Ohio once. Had problems with the ends popping off. I believe this was one of the snares. Stick with a proven snare builder.
One shot to the brain with the pellet gun.... game over before she hit the ground! Never even kicked once! :smiley_coolpeace:
Gamo Bone Collector shoots 1200 fps. Regular pellet will do it, but I use the penetrator which is basicly a stainless looking sabot in .177
