Coyotes 2013

Rick u get that boy some beaver trapping land yet.? Ha u guys are more than welcome to.come run my line with me some morning

I've got a place. Just need to get ahold of landowner and go look at it. It used to be good for 3 or 4 per year. Not done it for so long, I'm not sure. I've got a small boat so I'll find them if I can find the time to do it.
Appreciate the offer. He'd flip-out to see a beaver alive in a trap!

Just remember Rick kids that hunt and fish don't mug old ladies, lol. Its great to see the kids get excited about the same experiences we do keep up the good work.

I believe if you teach your kids to hunt, you may not have to hunt for your kids! In essence, right with ya! Thanks!:smiley_coolpeace:

Yep I agree my 7 yr old boy and 11 yr old daughter love the woods and water. I wouldn't trade it for the world too have them set with me in the stand and run the traps or chase the hounds its a wonderful feeling too teach them. And I was pretty much self taught other than coon hunting with a hound and slug hunting so I do appreciate the time to teach any youngster. I hate too say it but I teared up a little after a 10 year old boy shot his first deer which was a bb this slug season, with our hunting party ,without a parent with him but I was right by his side. It felt like I shot my first Ohio big buck. These youngsters are our future. And if I can make a special memory in the outdoors for one I'm histatic.

I feel ya man! I took my buddies boy (A good friend of mine now) deer hunting for the first time. He shot a little 5 point in the first 45 minutes and he looked like a booner laying there! That boys smile said it was a monster! Nothing like taking the kids! I still cherish the boy who got me to taking youngsters out.....He will forever be deep in my heart!

OK....Here's one for ya. Check snares this am...Coming up on first one in a corn field and I see eyes. Get off quad and Coyote stands up. Looks like biggest one I've ever been around.....he growls and takes off. Snare end lets loose and Coyote is haulin' ass up through the corn field! No, a 680 Rincon will not catch a coyote if he has a head start and snow is hitting you in the eyes! Darn thing got away! Sure enough, it was one of the snares we had problems with before. I had forgot to mash the end on it a little better before I set it. Bit me good too. Had I of caught up with him, he'd of had tire tracks up his ass cause I was pissed!

Wish I had a video of all that.......I'm sure it would be a good one!

Found #6 in a snare today. He was NOT a happy camper! Braydon was busy, so he didn't get to dispatch him. Biggest one yet size wise, but fell a few pounds shy on the weight. At least he's not hungry for deer any longer!
