Crazy rut kill

Ok so this morning a buddy I went to High school with, and I had just reconnected with, came by to check out the new house. He hunts right across the street and had just come out of the woods.
We shoot the bull check out the house walk outside with my dog running around, the stone Mason is outside. I don’t have a rifle at the house, I am working not hunting. We look up and see this doe about 65 yards from us, just looking around.
We then see the buck that is after her.
Now the whole time he just looking around. I told my buddy grab your gun and shoot the dang deer. He walked to his truck loaded his gun and dropped him in his tracks with his 270

Here is a video I took of it with my phone. This all took place at 10:55 am. The whole video is almost 2 minutes long, at the 10 second mark you can see the doe run off to the left.
Lesson learned. Keep a damn rifle at the new house Clay!! I joked about shooting deer off my front porch. Well shit if it didn’t happen.

Classic! As a guy who whose killed as many deer within 250 yards of the house as he as further away, I love this! Good way to christen a home build!
