Damn rookies

Damn man that sucks! I was sitting in the back of a truck going through a town one time, driver hit a speed bump and popped the ATV up enough to shatter the back window right in on us. Scared the shit out of me I thought we were getting shot at! Hopefully it doesn't cost you too much to get it fixed!

Here's a weird one. Dad took his quad to the shop a few years back. He got on the highway after dropping it off and it was cruising along when he said it sounded like a gun went off and glass went flying everywhere. He'd left the ratchet straps in the bed and somehow the end had fluttered up over the bed, then down in between the bed and cab where it got wrapped around the drive shaft. When it rolled up in the drive shaft, it whipped the hook right in to the back glass. Whoops!

Dang Dustin!!! Hope it doesn't hit ya too hard in the pocket!

:smiley_clap: To you fuggars bringing my name up! Well played!

B/c of the deer incident, and then this, my premiums would jump considerably, so Im just going to suck it up and pay it out of pocket. The wife suggested I get a trailer for it. LOL Well if you insist.

Dustin, you will be glad you bought the trailer in the long run. The trailer can be used for so much more than just a four wheeler. And free beer when your buddy needs it...

Yeah I think the bonus in the trailer is once I get to my property I can hook it up to the atv to haul stands and corn around. Now I just have to find one cheap enough. Only looking for a 4x7 - 4x8

I just so happened to post a 6x8 tilt bed trailer and an aluminum 8'5"x12' tilt trailer on craigslist today. The second one is actually a 2 place snow mobile trailer but I used it for the golf cart, quad, hauling light brush, etc. I listed the 6x8 at $475. $400 would buy it, but honestly I would not sell it to you unless you were just doing local hauling with it. It is more of a yard/around town trailer. I have never really used it. My needs changed after I bought it. The aluminum tilt trailer is real nice. Listed it for $900.

Ill be using it mainly for local hualing but Ill also be using it to come to the bow shoot as well.

I've only trailered the $400 one home. I really don't know how it would do going down the highway. For this reason, I wouldn't sell it to you. I wouldn't want to have a TOO brother get screwed. I just don't know anything about it. The other one has treated me well. It is just wide going down the road.

Thanks for the tip on the 5x8, didn't take into account bigger tires. Thanks Giles. You actually are good for something. LOL

I am going smaller for a trailer because my trails through the woods wouldn't accommodate a 5x8. I am getting a Yutrax, dual axle, I think.

I also have a 7x14 enclosed, 8.5x18 dovetail, and a 6x12 utility trailer so I am a trailer junky.

Also, I would take the quad to test the trailer with. It having IRS they cannot take any kind of tongue weight. Just a thought.

I have a little 4x8 yard trailer here at the house. A couple problems I found with it on trails was the lack of clearance on trails. So I flipped the axle and put a little bigger tire on it. Seems to do just fine now with firewood, gravel, dirt, whatever...
