I don't think it applies nearly as much around here and in areas that have lots of ag. I think a deer can most likely tell what it needs to eat and when. But I do agree that the corn piles have a affect on deer travel etc...

One of our goats are some corn yesterday, died today. Corn can kill, especially in areas where deer do not utilize corn regularly.

I may be wrong, but I would think that many, many deer in this Midwest ag state of Ohio eat corn frequently.

Yes, corn can kill if the deer are not regularly eating it and then gorge themselves on a corn pile (some stomach science stuff....).
