Ok. Here goes. Like several have mentioned, I am seeing some grey coming in here this year thicker than last. Wish it was "worthy" but I don't see it staying much longer. Might look sorta okay in an arm's length picture from a cell phone, but in person it is pretty anemic. Goatee area is about the only thing which comes in. Not all of us can be italian stallions I suppose. lmao

You know it baby! It has taken generations of working the carnivals to earn a blotchy beard like this. It started with my great great great Grandpa Orval. He worked one of the first tilt-a-whirls. lmao
Y'all are making me self conscious. I will give it a little more time and then it goes. Betting there is not much more fill in to happen. Just longer hair in the patchy spots. I am trying though. Going to give it a shot. I think of it more like Shaggy from Scooby_Doo minus the weed and Mystery Machine. Just a skinny, goofy guy that likes to eat and has a weak beard.:smiley_crocodile:

I hesitate to post because i know there will be ridicule. Look people, I am not exactly the Marlboro Man. I don't have huge muscles. I don't have a Duck Dynasty beard. I did receive a sense of humor and the ability to take abuse though. Sooooo. . . . . . Here we are with 2 weeks growth since the last picture. I realize Beentown, Redcloud, and several of you are waiting until 2 days before the season to start your deer beard. I realize you will have more growth than I do in those two days. I am okay with it. I am going to give it a shot for awhile longer. Probably get shaved prior to my brother's wedding in October, but I will give it a shot until then. Ridicule away. I can take it.

Right there with ya Phil!!! Only my "deer beard" never gets to grow more than the two weeks I'm off during vaca to hunt due to work policies. Either way I'm growing the fu man this year as my "deer beard". Getting some pretty funny looks from the nurses in the ER, as they are used to seeing a clean cut man walk in. Now I'm looking like a 70's porn star!
I always was a volunteer on the FD. I still had to maintain the standards of the full time guys though. I let my card expire on my birthday in June. 9.5yrs in the guard. A bit over 11.5yrs as a volunteer fire fighter/EMT_B. That would be 21+yrs of service. Now I don't answer to anyone but God, myself, my family, and my customers. I figured it was time to give it a shot. lol

Love it! I laughed at each and every one of those comments. Graci was printing stuff off the computer so while we were waiting on the printer she was taking the pictures. The "look" on my face was more like "REALLY? How many times do you have to take my picture before we get this right kid?" lol
