One of my friends owns a pretty good archery/hunting store that is housed alongside his pharmacy in Bainbridge. He is hosting a deer and video contest this year. It is formatted similarly to the Quest contest that has happened the last several years. I’m generally not a fan of big deer contests. In this case however, I know the host’s intentions. He simply misses the good times deer hunters had at check stations. I can get with that. In fact he, Mason and I went to an event At Mikes Archery in Ironton last night. Same sort of thing, bunch of archers getting together for a good time. Anyway, the link is posted above and if anyone here is interested I can assure you, the host is a stand up guy and he will provide a good time to wrap this thing up on March 1.

Rx Archery is hosting this thing again this year for anyone interested.
Last years banquet was a fine time. Updates were posted via Facebook throughout the season so it was fun to follow along to see how other contestants were doing. My pal, Brian and his contest partner Sammy won the team competition with a 193” and a 188” deer. However, the best scoring deer was actually a 195”! There were some great deer brought to the banquet, food was great, fellowship was good with very few “look at me” type folks in attendance. Casey handed out an unbelievable number of door prizes, raffles, etc. folks carried out some really nice products at the end. He also rented the historic Paxton Theater in Bainbridge where the awards ceremony and live country music show was held. Anyway, he knocked the event out of the park and I’d suggest joining the contest if for nothing else than an evening of fun in March.

Actually believe I'm going to sign up with Sydney. I don't expect to win anything but it will be fun to be a part of! 🦌🦌
I believe you and she will enjoy it. I knew I didn’t have a prayer of winning anything but still enjoyed it. I just talked to Casey tonight on the phone. He asked me to do a video essentially saying what I’ve said here. “It was fun”…. He told me he already has 15k worth of prizes for the thing. When he decides to do something he goes at it full speed. He’s a hard man to keep up with. Heck, the week of the banquet last year with all he had to do to prepare, he still made time to run a revival at a church down the road. lol.
