The idea of point restrictions does rather fly in the face of the current deer management scheme which is selling more tags and killing more deer for the big money lobby. I am totally opposed to the idea of the government telling me which antlered deer I'm allowed to shoot, but am all for limiting ones self because you want to. Sportsmen don't limit themselves much on their own these days, but they should.

You know the absolute best thing about all these silly TDM rules? You can implement them yourself without bothering the rest of us who want less government in our lives.

I’ve been hunting Elk Co. PA for the past 5 years. They have a 3 tine antler restriction and I’ve seen a major difference in quality bucks since implementation.

I'm all about bigger antlers but you can't eat them. So if I decide a spike buck is what I want to shoot because I need the meat then so be it.
