Deer hunting with flintlocks.

Does anybody hunt deer with a flintlock rifle?

This was me in Virginia when I could still see my belt buckle and my hair was dark.
Rifle is a .50 cal T/C PA Hunter.

I have hunted and harvested deer with my Thompson 50 cal. that I built from a kit 36 years ago.
There is a special feeling I get when I carry it hunting. Nothing like it.

I admire those that use flintlocks, but I could never bring myself to do so.

I've always used a percussion and enjoyed it. I've entertained thoughts of getting a Lyman Great Plains Hunter. I miss the sidelocks.

i have tried flint . several times . but i cant get used to it . flintching like being swung at by mike tyson ..lol. i have a inline . but the one i carry is my 40 cal. percussion .
