I updated the numbers to include the 2023 season and the limited results data for this year.

A couple of observations

Highest gun week harvest since 2011

Youth harvest numbers for 2024 remain pretty flat but 10,000 less youth permits sold according to published data. I'm not sure the youth permit data is accurate. That drop seems excessive and if real signals an even larger future hunter recruitment problem than is already well documented.

Archery harvest in 2023 exceeds 100K for the first time ever

Have you played around with the data to see if there are any trends that stand out?

I'm more of a visual graph sort of guy.

Things like when we hadthe early muzzy season, when the bonus gun weekend showed up, differences in muzzleloader numbers when itused to be earlier than the first weekend, changes to numbers with the extra permits in public, things like that.
