As I type there are 6 does and yearlings feeding in my back yard 10 yds from the patio.
Make that 7 now, opps 8, now 10. I spooked them getting the camera ready.
Looking back on deer sighting here. I bought the farm in 1991 and in following 22 yrs I never seen over 3 deer in a group until 2013 when I planted my 1st food plot. In these short 3 years I've seen as high as 16 deer feeding at the same time. Now I just seen a group of 10 deer feeding and walking through my back yard which only 200 yds from my food plot. Their direction was on the way from the food plot.
I would say a that good year around food plots are a benefit to the deer herd.
