22 right beetween the eyes. Or behind the ear. Make sure they are solids not hollow points. Yes first for the year. My trapping friend has caught 2. But we aren't running together yet.

Well done Taylor, and good tip on the solids. It doesn't take much to put down a yote at close range. Hollow points will just make skinning a huge mess.

I think I had a deer cost me a coyote or fox. The trap was set off and pulle to the side. There was coarse white hair like a deers. Although the bone I was using for a backing was gone. This may help me though because in my search for the bone I found where the coyotes have been digging and rolling ontop of the hill in the field.
