Diablo 2012/2013 trapping.

Congratulations Pinky!!!...Don't know many people your age with the commitment it takes to run a trapline with those early morning checks.....If you would like more practice skinning and putting up fur, come over to my garage and I will let you put up my catches for free!!!lmaolmaolmao

That's a very pretty coyote. Did you mount or tan or anything?
I have had several of them tanned and am also getting that light one tanned.I have a couple mounted also and they do take up space so my last mounted one i have on the wall that is this picture attached. It does seem on our farm that they have a color gene as so many have a variety of colors not just the normal looking coyote.I also still have my first Ohio coyote that is mounted that i caught in a dirt hole set for fox way back in 1983.Their sure are alot more of them now.

Yea plenty, more and more every year. We hunt them with hounds up here in the flat lands. It seems the numbers go up every year. This year was my first year for trapping canines. I ended up with two yotes and twelve fox for the year. Next year I'm gonna spend more time on the yotes. Its a lot more complicated and time consuming than people think. Congrats on a good year

That is a big ol' coyote you got there Boarhead! Almost to the point it doesn't look like one. You think it was mixed with something?

Not sure but it sure smelled like a coyote. Have caught some really big ones the last couple of years. That one had really long legs compared to some.Caught one 3 years ago that weighed 58lbs now that is big as most seem to go between 28 to 45 lb range.
