I watched a guy quizzing his son on dinosaurs. He'd hold a photo up and ask what it was and the kid would reply, Stegosaurus. The dad would say, "Good job, son. Well done, Steven". I'm wondering why were quizzing kids on dinosaurs. 
I've never needed that knowledge and it's never come in handy or gotten me out of a jam. I've never been driving drunk and a cop pulls me over, shows me a photo of a dinosaur and says, "What kind of dinosaur?" I'd say Stegosaurus and he'd say, "Okay, step out of the vehicle."
We should be quizzing kids on things they're going to need in life. Like holding up 2 photos of the same woman with slightly different pics and ask, "Alright, Steven, what's different?" He's like, "Her hair is cut different." I'd say, "Very good, Steven! That's going to get you out of a lot of unnecessary arguments."
Then his dad showed him another photo of a woman and asked, "Is she angry?"
Steven says, "She's probably going to say she's not, but I think she really is."
He said, "Wow! You're really good at this...actually better than me....and that's why I probably only get to see you on the weekends."
