Ok I’ve acquired what I believe will be a good dispatching tool solid metal

I carried a .22 pistol strapped too the belt. Less cumbersome.

.22 solid point.

Fox and yote seem to give it up with a serious whack to the back of the skull but coons and skunks not so much. In my trapping basket I have a 28" peice of turned maple, made it wood shop in ... 1980.. Jr in HS lol.. that has been used effectively.

But my dispatch tool for 90+% of the catch is the .22 pistol. Haven't tried bobcat yet, released one... we both disliked that whole affair..
