4th gens are a new line of trucks, not mush to compare with even the 3rd gens. I own a 3rd and my dad own a 4th. His is a v6 1500 cc 4x4 and is pretty damn nice. He gets great mileage and I could see it hauling a small trailer without any problems at all.

(These v6 motors nowadays are pumping out better numbers than most v8 motors from 80's-90's, so keep that in mind also)

Mine is a 2011. I can't say one bad thing about it other than it does not get the advertised 19 mpg highway. Not around here with these hills.

It goes better than I thought in slop minus recently with the racing slicks I have on right now.

Rides smooth, spacious, crew cab has a ton of room for the kids. It has become our vacation vehicle.

One thing I wish I had is the back up camera because of kids leaving shit behind me. Lol

Agreed on the camera. It stopped me from ripping the front camper door off leaving for work one morning. They are worth their weight in gold everytime it goes in R. I never thought i would use one as much as i do.

Good luck on the truck search Jesse, but I agree with the other guys. Grenade the ford before loosing that cushion financially without a secure position. It would be the same as right now, situation wise, if you dont land something and that position is closed. Would you be good without $25k but a new truck? If yes then game on. Good luck either way man, when does the new gig start? 550 each way?

I should start the 14th. I'll work from home when I'm not on the road. I do have to go to Nelsonville 2-3 times a month and will go 550.

I'm going to drive my truck until we get the house appraised/refinanced. At that time, I'll decide what to do about a vehicle. Appreciate the input fellas.

LMAO on the pic T! Well played J and received Dave! Lol

I agree on Jesse driving the present truck till job and future is more clear. Good luck Jesse!

I agree with Giles and the others on running what you already have. I would never BUY a Dodge truck after all the little problems and recalls we had on one quite a few years ago. That said, if I were in a situation where I could keep mileage down I'd consider leasing one....then let someone else deal with any problems.

2013 Toyota Tundra with 80k miles, and it's still worth 21k. Runs like a champ. Only issue I have had is the steering rack when I lifted it. Only way I'm getting rid of it is for a new duramax, but I'm not making that 700 or more a month payment.
