I've had the best year of deer hunting, this year. I shot 2 deer with my new Elite HNTR33, 1 deer with my Satori recurve and as of this evening, I have shot 1 with my Ruger American 450 Bushmaster. The meat from this big ole girl is going to my brother-in-law.

I waited for a nice broadside shot at 47 yards, thru both lungs. She ran about 60 yards and fell face first into the snow.

I've only tracked 2 deer in the snow and this blood trail was absolutely outrageous, from start to finish.
Good ole Hornady FTX 250 gr. bullets (in my reloads) have been getting it done for me, for as long as I've owned this rifle.

The second deer I shot this year,I followed the blood trail without my glasses on….. Half her heart was missing and she still went 120 yards….
Those FTX 250’s get the job done.
