Thanks guys. I was using the 870, J (Mossberg rifled barrel with the Remington Accutips). I crawled up the hill after my sit and saw mom with two in tow in the cut corn. She had a slight limp and they were heading to that small woods where I shot my buck. I had a small tree to steady the shot and I hit her hard. I can't believe it myself. I thought maybe she was already shot, but there were no visible injuries.
