Ha, ass wipes. I had no idea this pic was taken.

It's OK....Guess you asked the wrong guys..... I haven't shot a dove since the very first day in Ohio EVER. It's about time to try it again.

I remember that year...94-95'? I wasn't old enough to drive yet and dad took me. I couldn't hit the damn things and he kept asking me if I was aiming..."no dad, I'm just shooting, yeah, I'm putting it right on them!" Then he explained to me how to shot birds...never aim for the bird itself.

A pretty forgettable opener for me. Got beat to our usual spot. Then more hunters showed up than I've ever seen in this field before. So... too many guns, not enough birds. The dog made some tough retrieves for some of the surrounding hunters so not all was lost. Moved to a second field around 9 a.m. and had a bit of a flurry right at first but it peetered out pretty quick. Hoping the pressure is a bit lighter tomorrow.

I'm talking about the very first one.... like 1976 or 77 maybe?

Took the boy out after I picked him up from school and shot a quick limit ...Alot of doves around ...Made a few great shots ...but for every good shot I made I wiffed on two easy shots .

He's only 7 so he's just my retriever for now . Soon enough tho . I enjoy taking him ...dove and goose hunting is great for a loud 7 yo with a short attention span. Lol
